Vancouver Pride 2025: A Joyful Return to Davie Village

Vancouver is lighting up this summer as the 47th annual Pride Festival returns with an electrifying finale in Davie Village. Running from July 31 to August 3, the celebrations build to a high-energy climax on Sunday, August 3, 2025—when the Pride Parade and Davie Village Pride Festival join forces in an inclusive, unforgettable way.

What’s New This Year?

1. A “Reversed” Pride Parade Route
This year’s parade begins at Denman & Davie Streets, weaves along Beach Avenue and Pacific Street, and concludes at Concord Pacific Place. The updated route adds fresh energy and visibility to the downtown core. More on the new parade route.

2. Davie Village Festival—Back with a Bang
After a six-year break, the beloved street party returns from 2 PM to 10 PM, transforming Davie Street from Burrard to Jervis into a joyful, vibrant celebration.

3. All‑Ages & Accessible Zone
From 2 PM to 9 PM, Nelson Park becomes a hub for families and all-age festivities, including a low-sensory space, ASL interpretation, and community performances on the Concord Pacific Community Stage.

Why Davie Village Matters

Davie Village is the colorful heart of Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Known for its rainbow crosswalks, historic significance, and inclusive businesses like Little Sister’s Bookstore, it has long been a safe space for queer celebration and advocacy.

Bringing the Pride finale back to this cherished neighborhood reminds us why this place holds so much meaning for so many.

Community, Celebration, and History

This year’s celebration is deeply rooted in both joy and justice:

  • The return of a major in-person Pride Festival after six years
  • A historic nod to Nelson Park, where the city’s first Pride marches took place in 1981

Together, these create a space that is welcoming, safe, and celebratory for everyone.
