Carnaval del Sol 2025: Latin American Culture Lights Up Vancouver

Get ready, Vancouver! From July 11 to 13, 2025, the city’s beloved Carnaval del Sol festival returns to Jonathan Rogers Park, bringing its 17th annual celebration of Latin American culture to life. Learn more from Daily Hive.

Music & Dance: A Stage for Every Rhythm

At the heart of the event is the Plaza del Sol, where more than 160 performers will ignite the stage with salsa, samba, hip-hop, folk, rock en Español and more.

Highlights include:

  • Boogát – Latin hip-hop from Québec
  • Meni Axé Band – infectious Brazilian samba-axé
  • Lussilia – folk-pop with Venezuelan roots
  • Tren al Sur – Vancouver-based rock en Español
  • Caleb Hart – soulful reggae from Tobago

Culinary Delights: Food Plaza

Feeling hungry? The Food Plaza will feature 20+ vendors serving up tacos, empanadas, ceviche, pupusas, feijoada, and more from all corners of Latin America.

Vegan and gluten-free options will also be available.


Sport Plaza: Fútbol Takes the Field

For the first time ever, Carnaval del Sol brings a full Sport Plaza, dedicated to street fútbol. Think:

  • Mini tournaments
  • Trick-shot challenges
  • Skill stations and drills
  • A lively fan zone for watching live matches
